Kindergarten registration....last time!

Confession = I have 4 children and last week I went to my FIRST ever Kindergarten registration meeting. Weird you my say....here is the reason why; they always have the meetings on a Friday, at 2:00 p.m. (now how many parents are really home at that time) and they ask you NOT to bring your Kindergartner and other children! Really? And they say "if you are unable to attend just pick up your packet from the office at any time" so that is what I have always done. This has been the first year I have had a child old enough to stay at home and babysit while I go to the meeting. I figured I had missed 3 other ones, maybe I should attend my very last one. Was it worth going to? Not really! They talked mostly about riding the bus (which my kids do not do) a lot about parents volunteering (which I already do) and how you really should make your child come to school on Fridays/short days (I guess a lot of parents don't?). But now I can say I have been to "Kindergarten Registration"....GOOD JOB MOM!
