Thanksgiving part 1 (do not read if you are squeemish or an animal rights activist)

Thanksgiving at my moms house was great. The food was wonderful, the conversation was stimulating, the singing around the piano was perfect...and then there was the killing of the chickens!!!

See Grandpa has chickens and 4 of then have stopped laying eggs. So the obvious next step is get rid of them. The big boys decided they would take care of it for Grandpa.

To be honest I think they had a little too much fun.
I even heard the suggestion that this should be a family tradition-eat dinner-play games-kill a few chickens. Oh what a day! (no real chickens were hurt in the making of this blog--except for 4 real ones-that is all-I promise)

I have a couple that are no longer laying. If they weren't so old, we would eat them. And right now, I really can't stomach cleaning them.
