Day 25: your day, in great detail

Today was not a typical day at our house but I will give you "great detail" anyways.

My kids were out of school because it was the end of term. We woke up and got the laundry started. I worked out and then showered. Got the kids all ready and waited for the little girl I babysit to show up. Then we left for Logan and drove 1 hour and 45 minutes up there (my younger sister lives there and she has been really sick so we decided to go and help her out). We had to stop part of the way up there because everyone needed a potty brake. Got to my sisters house and the kids played outside and walked the dog. I cleaned the front room, then the kitchen, and then picked her son up from Kindergarten. Then I became brave and took 6 kids all to McDonald's for an hour (yep all by myself--got a few funny looks). Then went back to my sisters house and folded laundry and cleaned the family room. Then off to the bedroom to clean and put laundry away. While doing that the girls decided to put on a fashion show for my sister with all of her cute shoes and hats. It kept her entertained while she lay sickly in bed. I cleaned the bathroom and figured out what they were going to eat for dinner and then we drove home. I got stuck in rush hour traffic and wanted to yell at several rude drivers but chose not to (I had the little girl I babysit in the car with us, what would she say to her mother if she heard me yelling at strangers!!!) Got home and my friend picked her daughter up while I made dinner for my family. We ate and then just relaxed for about 30 minutes before it was time to get the kids ready for bed....oh man nothing got done at my house...the laundry was still not done, the dishes didn't get done, I do believe the beds got made, but can't really remember. It was a long day, but I was so happy I could go and help my sister out. I love her so much and know she will only be sick for awhile. I actually enjoy doing that kind of service. Just wish she lived a little closer :)

You are the best sister ever. Wow, is she lucky to have you!

And I agree - one of my sisters is an hour away. Too far! All sisters should be within 20 min of each other.
