17 years has gone by so fast!
This year I was in charge of planning the anniversary festivities. I have to say Pinterest made it so easy haha. Next year Shawn has to plan it, poor guy has no Pinterest account...it should be interesting ;)
To start off I made sure Shawn had the day off of work and I arranged it so I wasn't babysitting anyone. So we had the whole day to ourselves.
I gave Shawn these 17 envelopes first thing in the morning.
Inside each one was something fun we were going to do.
Random things...like have breakfast at a place we have been dying to try, stuff like that. (If you want the full list tell me and I will email it to you because someone of them are for married couples eyes only haha).
Inside one of them was the word "envelopes". Here is the thing...Shawn and I love to go on dates, but after 17 years you can easily get into a rut. So I found this fun idea on Pinterest to create "a year worth of dates." Some of their ideas were great...some were not so great. So I created my own list. I put 2 date ideas in to each moth. At the beginning of the month we open the envelope and read the date ideas, then pick the time to go do them.
Here is the list of ideas I came up with:
1. Go to Asian market
2. Frisbee golf
3. Buy a new game and learn to play it
4. Go geocaching
5. Drive in movie
6. Paint ball
7. Flow ride water thing in Lehi

historic Main Street…Park City Main Street and/or Ghost Tour. Walk up and down
old Main Street, and take in the beauty Park City has to offer. There are
always plenty of events and concerts going on. Visit the Park City website for

We had a great day reminiscing about when we were younger and discussing all the fun things we still have to look forward to. And hopefully this fun list of date ideas will just bring us even more great memories to look back on :)

Happy Anniversary to the cutest couple ever! It's so great to see a couple married 17 years who still like and love each other. so cool! We would like to be the friends that you have fondue and game night with, when that activity gets picked, ok?! Also, will you send me the ideas you had in those envelopes. Our 21st anniv. is coming soon. :)
