We went to the "Concert in the Park" at Brigham Young Historical park downtown and saw the Bagpipes. It was so much fun. It was a little windy but well worth it. The concerts are on Tuesdays and Fridays all summer long. They are free (love that). We took blankets to sit on, but there were chairs set up and it wasn't too crowed when we got there so we got a seat.
They played for about 1 hour. They had 4 girls dance to a couple of songs, they were fun to watch.
My favorite song was "Amazing Grace". They had a lady sing the first verse and then they played the rest. I have decided I want someone to play that song with Bagpipes at my funeral....not anytime soon, but just thought you all should know my desires :)
So go and check out the other concerts that will be coming this summer (FM100 web page, Concerts in the Park), there are a few really good ones. Let me know if you decide to go to any of them and we can meet up. The kids loved just sitting on the blanket playing games, listening to music, and eating treats (we always have treat:).
