What happened in the first 15 years? 2 Apartments, 2 houses. 4 kids. Hubby graduated from U of U. He had 1 surgery, I had 2. We had 1 parent and 5 grandparents pass away. Lots of fun little vacations and 1 huge/fabulous/marvelous vacation to St. Lucia.
So what will happen in the next 15 years? (this gets kind of scary) Hubby will get his Masters from BYU. We may even move to where ever his new job takes us. Kids will learn to drive, will begin dating and will graduate from High School. All of our children will be grown and out of the house (we hope). There will be missions served and weddings held. We might even be Grandparents by then, hahaha!
All of it sounds good to me!
To celebrate our 15 years together we went out of town and pawned the kids off on my sister (thanks again Shelley). It was a great weekend. Then on the official date of our anniversary we went to a benefit concert for Julie Hendrickson (she is a cousin to Paul Cardall) She had a double lung transplant. There were a few different performers. It was a fabulous night!
(side note=I had a migraine headache that morning, but by 3:00 pm I was doing better, yea)
Here I am trying to take a fun picture of us at the concert and typical hubby....he hates having his picture taken...so this is what I got. Enjoy!!!!!
This is Charley Jenkins, a country singer. Very fun and also a local Utahan:)
This is Lindsey Stirling on the fiddle. She was on Americas got Talent and made it to the top 48! She was so much fun to watch.
Peter Breinholt...got to be honest, when ever I hear his voice I think of Christmas :) I think it is because he has like 4 Christmas Cd's out and they always feature him on FM100. So it was fun to see that he can sing regular music also.
And last but not least.....Paul Cardall. I just love this man!!! He is so amazing on the piano. You need to read his book to fully understand all of the trials he has been through. He is such a generous and giving person, so kind and very personable. When he was signing Cd's he actually talked to the people, showing a real interest in them and what they had to say. I think he made my top 10 favorite people list :)
So that was our anniversary adventure...many more to come!

What a milestone! (We'll follow you in two months)
I'm so glad you felt well enough to celebrate, too. I get a kick out of hearing all the concerts you go to!
Happy anniversary Kristy and Shawn! Sounds like you had a great time. Isn't it fun that as the kids get older you get to do more things as a couple? Rachel told me that I am gone way too much now that Josh is old enough to babysit. I guess I need to be more careful about that, eh? Anyways, so happy for you guys! You are so cute! Love your hair, by the way!
Jen-I love that you guys were married the same year as us...makes me not feel so old :) And most of the concerts are between $5-$10 for 3 hours of joy, cheaper than a movie!
Michelle- It has been so nice to have a built in babysitter. Now if only they would all get along while we are gone :)
Congrats on 15 years! I wish I had known about the concert...some of my favorite local performers!
