13th wedding anniversary/Good things Utah

Yes I do have the best husband anywhere. He surprised me this year for our anniversary and had my mother take the kids over night while we got to stay at a  bed and breakfast. We had dinner at the Timber mine, up one of Ogden's canyons. It was so much fun.

We stayed in the Alaska Room. He brought strawberries and whipped cream to eat (my favorite) and they had sparkling cider and cookies waiting for us in the room. 13 years has gone by way too fast. I can't imagine my life without him. I think about what the next 13 years will bring and that makes me too old, and too many teenagers. My oldest will be 23 and I could be a grandmother. WHAT?????

That morning we had the opportunity to go to Good Things Utah. My sister came down with her kids and we took my Mother. It was an early Mothers Day outing. After the show we took her out for lunch. The show was kind of a disappointment. We got the tickets back in February thinking that it would be a great Mothers Day themed show. Figuring they would give the mothers fun prizes or do some great mothers day craft stuff. Nope, nothing, they didn't even share the food they did on the cooking segment. The show may have been a let down but the "Girls" on the show were great. Except that they are all at least 5 foot 9. Not 5 foot 1 like the rest of my family. They were really personable and fun to see live.

This next picture was taken at the ABC 4 studio. Shawn loves, loves, loves King of Queens. So we stood next to the paper cut out of Doug. He almost looks real. This is my 10 year old and my sisters 10 year old and me. And I got the "Cool mom of the year award" for letting Paige skip school to have a day with the moms.
